? New Mexico Elk Hunt at Colin Neblett south

Did anyone hunt this location before? Let me know how good this area is, because my 15 year old daughter drew a Bull Elk tag for this unit #54 Colin Neblett. I have heard that Elk are hard to locate there. I was wanting to know if anyone has taken a Elk there before or not. Thanks.

Talk to a NM Wildlife Biologist at (505)476-800. As far as I Know, there are plenty of elk there, but it looks like most of the Unit is private. Good luck.

I also drew for Unit 54 Oct.31-Nov4 for a cow tag. Am curious if you have heard anything else? any info would be nice! Also since it is a WMA you can only stay on the designated roads, in essence hunt on foot or horseback? Do you know anything on this...? my first time out there....
