Cross dominant....
 

Are any of you guys and gals out there cross dominent? I have a right handed bow, but shoot all other guns and weapons left handed. I write right handed, but use my left more often then not to do most things. I hear alot of crap from people saying that lefties are just trying to be different, but I honestly shoot better the way I do, and I'm not gonna try to change it-think it'd just mess me up.
I do get burned some when shooting say, Trap with a right handed gun, since I'm not gonna use money to have a special gun...any advice on how to prevent burns from sparks and shells????You can't really wear long sleeves in the summer.lol
Anyway, just wondering if I'm the only one out there that is "weird".lol Probably...lol

i shoot firearms left handed and my bow I shoot right. I can hit from both sides of the plate as well... (baseball) Other than that I am right handed.

I don't have that problem but my friend is right handed but shoots with her left hand.

I can shoot either way but I learned righty. I technically should be shooting lefty because of my eye dominance, but I don't....all the time.

im left eye dominant but right handed. i started out shooting righty, so i do everything right handed, bow and gun. i technically shoudl switch, but i shoot awesome right now so im not changing something that works.

Well, thats cool that I'm not alone out there...lol I was taking an Shooting Sports Instructor Certification thing, and we got to talking about the large percentage of women out there (the official statistics), that are actually cross dominant. I didn't realize how many females are like that-I guess I just have yet to meet them.lol

One of my buddies shoots lefty, but does some things right(not sure what). Me on the other hand, i have to do everything right handed. I cant do anything with the left hand except for guitar stuff.
