Truck

I need some help with my future truck. I am planning on getting a '98 Chevy Z71. I want to fit 37"'s on it. Does a 9" lift sound about right? I am going for the suspension lift, but have seen people do 6" suspension and 3" body. Can you just get a 9" suspension lift? I should get my truck anytime now. I am planning on putting this stuff on/in it:

2-12" (mabey 15" depending on cab) JL Audio subs
Dual exaust
9" lift
37" tires
15-20% tint
And a sticker that says, "The surgens general said nothing about smoking a Ford."

Hope it turns out good.

Sounds pretty gay to me....lol j/k[8D] a 9" lift? the high but then again you willprobly need it if you are getting those big tires. are you getting step ups or plannin on just hoppin in there? lol well what i would do is get a 6" lift then put the body on there with the mud tires. you would have the most bada$$ truck in school haha. btw where is all the $ comin from? ur beauty and the beast job?! hahaha

i would say 12's will be too big unless u have a crew cab let alone 15's i would just go with the 12's if you get the crew cab. u might be able to get by with the 12's tho. sometimes my two 10's are too big. its up to u

I'll get the steps. At school the juniors and seniors are allowed to drive and park in the parking lot. I am going to be a junior next year. A stock Z71 has about 6" on either side lol.

And Beauty and the Beast is over. We had Lynard Skynard and Aaron Tippen come through. Brett Farve and Faith Hill are coming.

there is no doubt u will be able to fit them in there im just talking about too much sound for a truck, if it were a car it would be different.

Nothing with getting lift kits on trucks, just make sure its not so high up that you have a risk of tipping over or that you can't see too good while driving in traffic; I've seen alot of accidents around here because of that last reason.

1. Go for 6" susp. lift and 3" body. It'll be good on the whole tipping issue AND be kinder on you U-joints

2. (this is where I'll probably be argued with) I know, I know its really cool to be able to say "yeah, I gots me some 18" kickers" but IF you are by some miracle actually interested in having a awesome SOUNDING system you'd be better off to going with 3-4 high quality 8" woofers or 2 high quality 10s . I can explain this if you're interested, and yes, those 8s will rattle you teeth thump your adams apple and make the "fly-honeys" across the parking lot earrings shake. (The key here is "high quality" and that doesn't always mean popular brands)

Soil, I see what your saying. I have heard that 12"s sound good in trucks. I will have plenty of room. I have a feeling it would sound good.

I'm with Soilarch on this one. I would get a couple of tens way before 12 or 15's. Unless you're listening to rap or trying to win a competition, the tens will sound MUCH better.
