How many people here play guitar and if you do how long have you been playing it. I've been playing for about 1 year.

yea I play bass. been playing for almost a year. I pretty much teach myself. not in a band but I hope I will.

Played guitar for 10 years. love it. Played in the same band for a little over a year now and just bought a new PA and Gibson Les Paul to go with the strat. Also teach guitar at a studio in town.

Sweet! What kind of guitar do you guys have. I have a Fender Squier (sp?) I know pretty plain but o well:D:D

i've been playing guitar for around 3-4 years. I have 2 electric guitars (a crappy Squire Strat and a beautiful Gibson Les Paul with a Sun Burst coloring), one Bass and one Classical Guitar.

Gear: Custom shop 57 fender strat, 57 Gibson Les paul standard, 62 Gibson les paul standard, 65 fender strat, Fender Acoustic, Fender Banjo, Peavey Rapton, Ovation acoustic. Then the electrics are all played through a fender 65 twin reverb with and Ibanez Tube screamer TS9, a Boss DS1 distortion, a Toad works Mr ed overdrive, and a vox wah wah.

I dont have the talent to play guitar but i think its cool that you all can play it or the bass. I used to play drums. An old high school friend of mine, he was really good playing the guitar, he could play several old school metallica songs almost perfectly.

I got a Tama 5 Piece Drumset w/ Hardware - Custom Amber, and a Fender Standard Strat Electric Guitar with a Fender FM 212R Guitar Combo Amp.

I just started playing. I borrowed my cousin's guitar and have a friend that just moved here helping me. He teaches me some chords, power chords, and song intros. Every day after school I'm looking up tabs, lol.

I am just starting to play bass. I play my friends Ibanez I am getting a Rouge soon and over the summer when i get a job I am getting a destroyer. I can play a few metallica songs Damage inc and a few more . Metallica Is the best metal band ever!

ESP TA-500 Tom Arraya model signature series.
Ampeg svt 4x10 combo rigged with a peavey TKO 115S.

Metallica USED to be the best metal band. Cliff Burton was Metallica.

I've been playing for about 10 years, but never in a band. Self taught mostly from tab books and such, mostly country stuff like Cross Canadian Ragweed (awesome band), and older rock.

I just started learning...its fun, but just something I do during my spare time...I want to learn to write songs, that would be awesome! I'm also hoping to inherit my grandpas 1949 Gibson Les Paul!:D

a mix machine and drums all i can play but i would like to learn the bass guitar soon. i heard some cats laying down some smooth lines on one friday

I play electric guitar. It's hard though cause i have really small hands [&o]. I was in a band for a while til we broke up. Next I really wanna learn how to play the banjo. How many of y'all are in bands?

I have played the guitar since I was 8,and I'm 16 now, so I've played for 8 years. Basicly self taught, and I mainly play cords. I just got a mandolin, and it is really fun to play! I think it's SO much eaiser then the guitar; as far as streching your fingers goes, anyway.
I also play the piano and lap harp.
