Anybody Rabbit hunt?
 

I have an 8month old beagle pup that I have been running rabbits with. Anyone else run them too? I don't know much about rabbit hunting with dogs, but what I have done already has been awesome. She has run about 10 in the last 2 weeks. Is that pretty good for a pup of her age? What else should I do to train her? Thanks. BB

i got about 17 beagles.......pm me and i will tell you how to help her run more rabbits

Same here, ive just started with my 7month old patterdale terrier aswell!! He aint ran any rabbits yet and i would like some tips on how to do so!! Anybody??

I couldn't help you on the training dog part just because i dont hunt rabbits with a dog. I'm sure you could pick up videos and books that could help you. Good luck

I hunt rabbits, but not with a dog yet. I've got a friend who hunts them, and he's getting a dog soon, so we might go hunting together.:)

I'm telling you, theres not much that's as exciting as having a good hunting dog as a partner. It has payed off ten times for the work I put into training her. There's nothin like seeing her run a rabbit into range... except maybe a slobber mouthed treedog;) bobcat. Any kind of hunting with dogs is great. I knew coon hunting was fun for a long time and then I got into rabbit hunting with a beagle. It is almost as good. ALMOST. BB

I dont know much about training em but i went rabbit hunting with a hound club i have abuddy in called marys' peak hounds club andran a bunch of rabbits with beagles it was a blast!
