i am so happy :D i just shot a bear around half hour before dark i shot it right in the head from around 100 yards away with my .303 it weighs around 300 pounds :D

maybe he took the head shot because a heart/lung shot might ruin the coat and damage a lot of meat... i myself like to eat the heart so if i have a good head shot i'll take it but only if i'm sure it'll drop where it stands

Just thought a bleached out bear skull would look dandy on a bookshelf. Never ate the heart of any animal besides chickens before.
