Default Well, I broke the ice... finally

Today, Dad and I went outand we each got a jake. I was kinda gettin anxious to get a turkey since this was the third weekend of the season. We only have until may 11. We saw 2 longbeards today, but they didn't give me a shot. The jakes however, were well within range and I took a nice clean head shot. This is not my first turkey, but it is one of the funnest ones that I have killed. I took off running to get him after I shot, and I ripped the butt out of my overalls that I got on the 6th for my b-day[:@] But, I got them sewed back up and I am ready to get another. Go team #6!! BB

Bobcat, I shot a tom today but he got up and ran away. I shot him in the head and I did not get to him quick enough. He got on his feet then he got in the air. I guessed his beard at 11 inches. It was huge. I hate to lose them. I guess it happens to all of us though. Grandpa got one though so I was happy about that. I want him to enjoy all the years he can in the woods. Well, Maybe next time. I am looking forward to that juvenile hunt. I can hit it one more year so I might as well enjoy it. BB
