Have any of you guys seen The Passion? I saw it a couple days ago, and thought it was a really well-made movie. If any of you have seen it, what did you think?

I kinda agree with washington. I mean, i hear the movie is great, and to each there own. If someone wants to see it then by all means i have nothing at all against it. But, i personally dont want to see it because i dont have a religious affiliation and ive had a lot of people get on to me because of that.

mel gibson didnt make the movie to make money he made it to tell people about christ.
I went and watched it with my whole youth group and i think about everyone in the theater was crying.

You know... You're absolutely right! No one in America ever does work for free, ever. It's not like we have organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Feeding the Hungry, etc. No one does promotional videos for companies for free. No one does works for churches for free. No one cleans up the community for free. Why should a Movie star be any different? You're exactely right. He wanted to do it for free, but they forced the money on him, is that right? They made him take it, or he couldn't do it? I don't think so.

No one does works for churches for free. No one cleans up the community for free.

My dad does the sound system for our church for free and so do the rest of the people that work there. My friend does the same thing for his churhc for free. My dad coaces baseball for free. People the have comunity service clean up the streets for free and so do some of the 4-h groups that are around.

do you kno how much money it takes to make a movie like that? sure u can go pick up garbage along the road what does that cost $5 bucks for a bag? This cost millions of dollars not some little job you do on a saturday. yes washington you are an idiot...

The movie was excellent. Mel used his "dirty" money to make the movie. He took the money made off of his earlier "R" rated movies to make this. I just think it was a really well made movie. Just my opinion.

Mel Gibson works hard to make money in earlier moovies. Mel Gibson makes moovie with his own money (around $34 million which is very cheap for a moovie). Mel Gibson is probably the most religious actor I know of and would like us all to know the story being told. And we all know good and well that all actors want lots and lots of money but that is not all they are about. Like previously posted, he had to at least make back what it took to make the moovie then make more money for taking his time and effort for making it. It's just like any other job. You get paid for doing work. I am not very religious at all but do believe in Jesus Christ. I will watch the moovie when I have the chance just like the rest I watch and will probably not go out of my way to see it.

i m really big into movies but no1 can fund/permote a movie alone. Mel Gibson went around to producers and no1 would take him. Finally som1 took him. The movie was made and the contreversy was started. I saw the movie and i thought it was terrific.

I would like to see the movie
My parents saw it and said it was good
Its about time someone makes a movie about christ and how he died for all of us. I think it made a big impact on people.
A ton of people in my youth group saw it and they said almost everyone in the theater was crying.

take_em, I agree with you. It IS time that a movie was made where God is included. A lot of movies are being made that just have God included as a swear word!! [>:]It ain't right!! And I admit, I was pretty teary-eyed during some parts in the movie.:(
