My dad read a book on chuck adoms. He shot an elephant with a bow!!!!!!!!!! I would never go elephant hunting.

Fred Bear also took an elephant with a bow as well. I typed up an article about him and his hunts from a hunting mag. not too long ago. It weight over 1200 lbs if i recall (probably little less) but the bow he used had an 75 poundage draw on it [:-]

That would be different. I believe Howard Hill was the first to do it though. I know that the broadhead had a cutting diameter of 4 inches and the arrow weighed over a thousand grains. Thats some serious energy!

i'd go! i'd love to do it... but elephants are off limits now in most parts of the world... and rightfully so... if you don't take care of the animals of earth and manage them properly they'll disappear forever... but who is going to manage us?

I would love to one day hunt an elephant with a RIFLE! I think it would be a neat experience.

As for your question on shooting an elephant with a bow? I would if i could. I think the chances of that happening in my life time aren't likely thought however.
