Here is a good PowerPoint slide show to ID species.

Download my PowerPoint slide show to quiz yourself on American species recognition. They are the most common species hunted in America as well as a few species that look similar to game species which might not be lawful to shoot depending upon where you hunt.

Also, some common dog breeds for hunting are included for extra fun.

By that I don't mean dogs to HUNT and SHOOT the dogs themselves!

Dog meat does not sound appetizing to me so please be careful where you
aim your guns in the field when Rover or Fido is present.

Farmers and ranchers do have the right to
shoot stray dogs that are harassing their livestock on private land however.

Animals and birds included are hunting dogs, big game animals, upland birds, waterfowl and varmints.

Some game species are male and others are female with distinguished features.

Open the slide show up in PowerPoint 2007 or later. Start the show from the first slide. There will be a picture of an animal with no label. Guess what the animal is as far as species, breed and sex is where applicable. Left click again to get the words on the screen as to what the animal is and left click again to get the next picture. Click again to reveal the name of the critter. Repeat this until the slide show is over.
