Whitetail doe down Nov.11/11
#1

At first light Friday morning, I took a walk through a pasture section looking to fill my mule buck tag. I worked my way to a hill top near the back end of the quarter section when I spotted a mule buck running on the far side of a slough 300 yards away. I never got a shot at it, but 3 whitetails followed his path a few seconds later and I was able to take a shot at a nice doe. Got her with the .270 Win shooting 130 grain Hornady's at 275-300 yards. After a short recovery, I found her piled up. Not much of a blood trail, but the deer never made it too far. Later that morning while hunting a different property, I managed to find a smaller mule buck to fill my last tag on.
