Layin the smack down.

Shot this boy this today. He came meandering through the trees and stopped in just the right opening so I let the hammer fall on the .300WM and dropped him like a rock. He's my biggest buck to date and my dad has me lookin at forms already.

Bocajnala 12-03-2009 06:30 PM

what'd he weigh? any idea??
-Jake

Tobe_B 12-04-2009 05:39 AM

Uh...when draggin him out probably 500 lbs lol. I'm not to sure the one thing we don't have is a scale, I'm guessing live weight at around 225 though, we don't have huge bodied deer like you guys up north. We did get him aged at 6.5 years old though.

BigBuck95 12-04-2009 04:29 PM

I would be jumping up and down so happy to have shot that, as i am sure you were. LOL
Good deer Tobe B

Tobe_B 12-16-2009 07:51 PM

Thanks guys, he went 140 and some change before the 60 day drying and without deductions.

And BigBuck, I was absolutely jumping with joy :)

Siman08/OH 12-21-2009 07:20 AM

Congrats!!!

skybuster20ga 12-23-2009 03:54 PM

my guess on the weight, and i dont want this to come across negative....145-155 dressed

Tobe_B 12-24-2009 02:53 PM

Like I said Sky, I was just guessing, we don't own a scale so I can't really say for sure, and I ain't even sure how to guess the weight of a deer for sure. So for all I know you could be spot on.
