' sup all Ive been wondering which is better to hunt squirrels and other small game
a .410 shotgun or a .22?
im asking because I own both and have used both on various small game, my grampa said he might buy a .22 for me to use here (in Florida) my .22 is up in michigan so i was wondering if we really needed it
p.s.--the .410 is single shot break action 3 inch chamber and if we buy a .22 it would be a ruger 10/22 if that could make a difference
thanks in advance[8D]

Personally I prefer the .22 for squirrel over the .410. With a good head shot the ol' tree rat will never know what hit him. Plus there' s less meat damage. Hey, If your grandpa is gonna swing for the 10/22 you' d better jump on it. For the price there' s not a finer .22 made. Good luck!!!!

Id go with the .22 for the fact that it dosent ruen as much meat.

I' d go with the .22 for 1 reason the cartreges wont cost as much $$$$ As the 410.[:-]

a .22 will be more of a challange compared to a .410 so I' d get a .22

LBM' s right...go with a .410/.22 over and under. You get the best of both worlds.
