two days ago a friend of mine was on vacation and was trying to see the sunrise better...
he was up 24 stories on the balcony of his hotel...he slipped off his balcony fell the 24 stories and died
he was an avid athlete, straight A student
and hunted every once in a while
this really hurt and i just thought i'd let you know
This balcony didn't have railing around it?
that isnt what you say to someone when there best friend just died. thats just not right.

I'm sorry to hear that. I've never lost anyone close to me so I can't really know how you feel, but I'm sure it must hurt.

Wow. That is horrible. I hope that you will be ok.

Just to get this out here. I know that most of us here in the youth forums think we're invincible. We're not.

Sorry to hear that, just stay strong. There are too many accidents were younger people like us die because we try to get the best of it all, and like Chris said, guys (and girls) we arent invincible. My neighbor died last spring, got cocky on his 4 wheeler, doing wheelies and tricks when he had no experience, mentor, or helmet. He went from the dirt to the road while driving, the tires caught when he jerked to get off of the road. He ended up busting his skull on a mailbox and the highway. A simple helmet would have saved his life. Its a shame, he was only 13 and a good kid. [&o]

I don't think the question about the railing around there was in bad taste. I was curious about that myself but regardless of it being there or not, it was tragic accident nonetheless.

Sorry to hear that my prayers go out to his family.
BTW Evan that story was really sad. I feel bad for that family.
