(Red can you pin this to the top?)

2009 Youth Forum Fishing Contest

Basic rules/guidelines:

-Any species of fish may be used in the contest.

-Any kind of tackle may be used to catch fish.

-No limit on how many fish you catch.

-Contest will run from April 1st-September 1st

-This will be a team effort, like the deer contest.

-We will score by how many fish you catch or a certain species and poundage. For example; Lets say I caught a catfish and it weighed 15 pounds. What i was thinking we could do would be like have point value for a specific species then add in poundage of it for a final score. So if we had catfish be 5 points, and my fish weighed 15 lbs. then i would score 20 points. Tell me what you think of this^^^^ Or we could go simpler if you like (I will need help figuring out all the point value for certain fish, so if you could help that would be great;))

we are going to do it by inches. becasue i think inches is easier to measure the finding the weight. we will add the length of the fish into the score of the species. so if you catch a 15 inch cat the score would be 25 for it. does everyone get this?
if you dont like the new scoring, tell me what to change it to
This is the UPDATED system:
Catfish = 10
Walleye = 10
Bass = 10
Carp = 10
Bullhead = 10
Pike/Muskie = 15
Panfish = 1
Trout = 10
Salmon = 10
Big head= 5
let me know of other species of fish to add;)

-For credit of your catch, for little fish like bluegill etc. just say you caught one and estimated poundage (im trusting you that you'll be honest on this one because it would be paint to post all your pics of little fish you catch) but for big ones we'll need picture evidence.

-Any questions just post in here

-Sign up here

- Heres a few tips i have for you. If you are going to use the size of the fish, use inches, because weight can be cheated so easily and nobody has certified scales laying around.

- I personelly like the points scale per fish idea better, say Catfish = 10, Walleye = 15, Bass = 5, Carp = 5, Bullhead = 5, Pike/Muskie = 20. Also, dont use panfish. Theirs no fun in posting 53 pictures of bluegills at say 1 point a peice.

.....we are using the picture sysytem right?

i like your idea caleb, measuring every fish you catch would be a pain in the ars. yes we will use the picture system. i think we should use panfish, like 1 point for each. and dont post pictures for panfish
so are we going to do length or just point value for species?
