Just wondering why did you shoot this yote with ur muzzeloader. Thats deffinitly a catch circle and #2.5 or 3 longspring on its front foot... Are you trying to say you shot it running free or did you shoot someone elses catch or did you shoot your own catch??? I sure hope you didnt shoot someone elses catch and I'm really confused why your claiming to have shot it running free.....Congrats to whom ever made a great catch on the incredibly smart k9.WCL

RE: coyote

I do a little trapping from time to time and I must ask as WCL did why blast him with a muzzleloader when you have him caught in a leghold trap? I just put a .22 bullet in their ear to kill them instantly and save the pelt.....yet you said he was on the move? How, unless he was jumping trying to get his leg out of the trap? Just curious...

just curious what the hell makes the size of the hole different if he was "on the move" or sitting pretty? hahaha i think the story was stretched a little eh?!

My guess is he wasnt aiming for the neck but because he was "moving", that's where he hit it.

that has absolutley nothing to do with what i said. nice try

RE: coyote

a 50 cal will put a big hole whereever you hit it... But yes where you hit it doesnt effect the size of the whole, but still im sure it was all legal so cant we all just say congratz?

mossberghunter93 12-22-2008 09:24 AM

RE: coyote

who cares whether he trapped it or not he shot it and tere isnt a season for yotes in many states;)

first off i dont even like you. and second we are all proud of the young fella. trapping is a trickey gamebut it seems as though the story is a bit fabricated perhaps

Bowtech 360 12-22-2008 09:41 AM

RE: coyote

Yes i agree that the story is fabricated

StruttinGobbler3 12-22-2008 09:56 AM

RE: coyote

I agree its hard to trap a coyote, I trap myself so I know firsthand. I think the problem we're all seeing here is that we were told he shot it "on the move" as though it was running or roaming free, when in fact it was in a trap the whole time.

Bowtech 360 12-22-2008 10:04 AM

RE: coyote

I dont trap firsthand but have seen it done, why would you use a 50 cal to shoot an animal in a trap when a .22 to the head woud would work better and cause less damage to the pelt?

jecole360 12-22-2008 10:11 AM

RE: coyote

Maybe it was running around in a circle trying to get out of the trap like the fox I trapped this yearwas doingwhen I tried to shoot it???

Honestly skybuster, I didn't even notice the trap in the photo until now so my bad. I was just saying what I thought happend so there was no pun intended.

I'm just wonderin who trapped it cuz if that isnt someone he knows yote he shot then that is very illegal. Makes ya wonder when he stretches a story like he did and isnt on here to defend himself and the real story. WCL
