im leaving for deer camp after class tomorow! season starts friday morning...but i havent been able to sleep for a week im so excited! but theres no internet in the cabin...so i wont be able to post or inform you much...unless i txt someone to report news for me...anyway wish me luck!:)

the 3 pointer had the right half his rack broke off. the 6 pointer was real small...the points were just barely spread...little mass, i will get pics up later. i just got back and need to sleep. i havent had more than 14 hours sleep all week! thanks for the luck guys....i appreciate it!

I'd like to try and convince my dad to start a deer camp this year. I went to a camp last year, and it was pretty dang stupid. About 15 people come on Thursday, and they set up this huge 40'x20' Army surplus tent, complete with a flatscreen TV, shower, woodstove, cooking stove, and a dishwasher. Then, they hook up a generator, and everyone positions their camper in a horseshoe shapearound the tent. Then, 4 days later on Sunday, they tear it down and come home.A camp like that should stay up for a week. So, its all that work for 1 1/2 of hunting. The whole experience is nice, but its not worth it.

that sounds really cool but id have a deer camp for at least a week if not two weeks. where can you have a deer camp?

Here in Wisconsin, hunting season runs right into Thankgiving Day, so having it for 2 weeks isn't possible, and not everyone can get vacation from work for that long. Check your DNR's webpage, and they should have something buried in there somewhere.

How can you shoot all those deer when I can't shoot any?! And by the looks of the gun, I'm gonna say you're shooting a Remington 742, correct?

we got a total of 7 deer in 2 days. centauri...its an ithica deerslayer model 37 12 ga. as for how we get them all...lot of scouting, lot of sitting in the stands before the season starts to try an pick up on patterns, and alota luck! lol you will get some buddy...just dont give up!
