well there is no real bending the law...the laws are pretty clear cut. so since he be in the stand and if he already filled his tag and is in the stand with only his dads tag and a game warden where to see him and check him...he would be going to jail and loose hunting privliges for a while! simply because if he has no tags in his name OR is carrying another persons tag without them having a gun and in the same stand is illegal. so to answer your question its very illegal. tho IF someone is going to do something like that at least they went thru the proper channels to get a deer tag...so at least he gave the money to the DNR for taking the deer and not just going and shooting another buck without any tags...

its poaching... that being said a lot of people USED to do what is called "party hunting" It is still practiced among many people, especially groups led by "old timers"...basically, if the group has six tags, one guy could shoot all six, as long as they are tagged. It is illegal, but that is where this thinking comes from...the "as long as it is tagged it's not a problem" belief.

depends on the state you are hunting in as to the legallity of it. But what it does require, even well legal, is that the owner of the tag be hunting at the same time on the same property as the tagged-out hunter. That being said, i dont feel this is as bad as shooting a deer that you dont have a tag for, and i will admit to party hunting when it comes to turkey and ducks, many times i shot my dad's bird after getting mine for the day

Yes, that kid is breaking the law... not bending it.

As for ducks, you almost have to party hunt in the early season when it is impossible to distinguish teal drakes from teal hens in flight, due to their eclipse plumage.

I've also party hunted. but like said above, everyone was present. It wasn't legal, but thats how the old timers did it. and all deer were tagged. It's still breaking the law tho.
