Ok i have a couple mins before i have to leave. I walked in this place for the first time at 12:40 yesterday and got up in my stand. When i was walking in there was a pond with some really thick crap about 40 yards behind where i put my stand. I get up got everything all set up ready to go and i hit the rattle antlers and he stands up from the edge of the pond and makes a straight line right to me. Knwoing i was there and didnt care. He had to lay there and watch me get into the tree since i was so close. He made a straight line about 15 yards to the left of my stand and kept going looking for where the rattles were coming from. When he got about 20 yards past me i hit the grunt to stop him and let the arrow go. He ran about 40 yards.

The spread inside to inside was 18 7/8"

The best aprt is i stil have one more buck tag for anywhere in the state, 4 doe tags, and a red tag for the same property i got him on.

NO RANGERS NEXT TIME!!!!!
I got him with my old Hoyt bow. The only reason it was in a Ranger is cause he drove there cause my truck was blocked in and i didnt have the keys to Johns truck on me. I missed a nice 8pt tonight on the same property. The limb on my bow hit my stand when i released the arrow and shot about 2" under him.
