RE: what's your favorite kind of hunting
[ol][*]Waterfowl[*]Turkey[*]Bowfishing :D[/ol]
I used to love deer hunting. Thats how I was introduced to the great outdoors: in a ground blind with my dad, a .270, and a 9 point hitting the dirt. However, in South Carolina, deer hunting isn't much of a challenge. The deer are so abundant here, and because of this overpopulation, the biggest of the biggest deer are about 140"/ 225 lbs. I know a guy who last season harvested 57 deer; around 2/3 bucks. The daily bag limit for my gamezone: Unlimited antlered deer, 2 antlerless deer per day. Aug.15 - Jan.1. I could make that if I really REALLY tried, but I have a little more patience... I've shot 4 deer over 6 years of hunting. Waterfowling... now THATS a challenge. By the time the ducks get south, they're extremely decoy/call shy from all of the other times they've been shot at in the north. It just takes a lot more skill and more input time. And, I've never had a bigger rush than watching greenheads juke right into your spread! ![]() ORIGINAL: johndeere850dlc My favorite things to hunt are turkey and squirrel...Deer is just to popular. Your not a real hunter if you only hunt deer. ![]() ORIGINAL: Nyberg Badger, Redfox, crows and all swedish predators. Deers and boars are easy to hunt. and real hunters hunt with dogs.. |

RE: what's your favorite kind of hunting
I like deer hunting but not nearly as much as I like other kinds of hunting. I swear the Game Commision gives the deer the book with the seasons in it. And the deer have cell phones and call each other when I walk into the woods...I'm unluck deer hunting...It's not the only hunting I'm unlucky at but the unluckest. I never got a turkey but I still like it better than deer hunting. Deer hunting is just way to popular and boring. I can see buck in doe season and doe in buck season. I just can't time it right or something. I'd rather have my hunting time be exciting...just some of the reason why deer hunting just isn't the best.
