When i first turned 16 i had my Mustang and an old 88 Bronco. I couldnt afford the insurance on the Mustang so thats why it has all the work done to it now. Insurance for the Bronco was still high but came down pretty quickly. My insurance right now for a 2007 F-250 and a 86 Mustang is about $550 every month and that is having both of them payed off and im 21 with no bad driving record.

your 16.. Have your parents insure it for you and pay them whatever it costs a month. I'm just about 21 with one ticket I pay 160 a month for full coverage on my 2006 Lincoln Mark Lt truck.

95' Chevy S-10

Nice trucks but they're kinda pricey....

1999 Toyota Tacoma

155,000 miles and runs like you're just driving it off out of the new car dealership. Could use a little more "umph" if you know what i mean, but it gets everything done that i need such as pulling boats (struggling), carrying dead animals, dekes, gun cases, bow, garbage, pressure-washer, etc...

19-22 miles to the gallon... depends on how hard on the gas you are.

Been driving for a year and a half: no tickets/accidents/criminal record, and i still have to pay $875 (with all possible deductions)insurance every 6 months, and thats just because I'm a teenaged boy.

I'll never let it go! That is until i go to college... then I'll sell it and go to Stuttgart AK for an awesome week of duck huntin, come back from school and get a Z71. :D

you are 16, get a car that gets good gas mileage.

Unless you have parents like some of these posters who pick up their gas bill when they need it.

I wish my parents were like that! I drove a Dodge Neon until i was 18 and left my Mustang in the garage becasue i couldnt afford gas in it.

when i was 15 i drove an 84 chevy shortbox4x4 w/ a 7.0 gm diesel that wouldnt go over 55 mph....

When I was 15 I drove an '85 F150 4x4, 351HO, that would go real fast, and got 4mpg no matter what you did with it. Back then gas was 78 cents a gallon, so it wasn't a big deal. Man I miss those days!
