We all have songs that could be pretty much our life in a nutshell, or songs that have another type of personal impact on us. So I am curious what kind of songs have effect on members in here.

I have several but one song that I recently rediscovered (it came out about 1995 and didn't hear it again until few months ago. And about the time i did, i found out what had happened). The song is called 'Mighty K.C. by For Squrriels. It hasn't really effected me personally but the tragedy behind it is what makes itsa bettersong because its two fold now.It was intented more or less as antribute to Kurt Cobain, but after listening to some of the lyrics closely, there is things about how fragile life is and so on. Not only was the tragedy for KC and the people who were effected by his death, but shortlysoon afterthis song was released,the bassist and lead singer fromFor Squrrels were killed in car accident.

The song "Life is Beautiful" came out right around the time my best friend Scott got killed in an auto accident. Many of you have seen the tattoo i got in remembrance of him. That song means alot to me.

"My Life's Been aCountry Song" by Chris Cagle could describe pretty well. Not to a tee, but pretty close I guess.

OMG i love that song!!!!!! It's my default ringtone, my ringback tone and my number 1 song i listen to on project playlist.

One of the songs that reminds me of myself and my life is "Fake It" by Seether. It talks about having to change yourself to fit in and i did that all through school because i was fat and always had to put up a different face in order to get friends. I also had and still do have low self esteem.

warning, the two previously listed songs are in German, but the translations are depressing, espeacially for the time period that i listened to them, Prefekte Welle translates to : "Perfect Wave" and it is describing the perfect day with her recently broken up with boyfriend, the translation of Zerrissen is "Torn", and this is its chorus in english:

in such a way to live and your heart"

I've made a lot of leaps and bounds. This song pretty much describes how I used to live. I dated my teachers in school, I would take things way to far and push people away, made myself sick to the point where I was hospitalized and forced to gain weight,hated looking at myself, and was always compared to this blonde girl in my class. She was built just like a girl should be and I was ashamed of my broad shoulders and muscular build, so I went to a doctor to try and change that. I backed out of the surgery at the last minute. I was in constant fights with other girls and guys, was in an abusive relationship and just didn't want to be me. I was on anti-depressants, drinking, partying, was reckless with my life and didn't care ifI diedetc. and then I met someone who changed my life and loved me for me, not the wild girl I thought everyone wanted. So when I get up on my soapbox and preach, LISTEN! Cause I know, I've been there.
