RE: Dear Mr. Obama

He's a former Republican, now Libertarian (NOT to be confused with Liberal).

I hate the other candidates.

Before the arguments start, here's theirour viewon gun control

1.6 Self-Defense
The only legitimate use of force is in defense of individual rights — life, liberty, and justly acquired property — against aggression. This right inheres in the individual, who may agree to be aided by any other individual or group. We affirm the right to keep and bear arms, and oppose the prosecution of individuals for exercising their rights of self-defense. We oppose all laws at any level of government requiring registration of, or restricting, the ownership, manufacture, or transfer or sale of firearms or ammunition.

Basically Libertarians want to downsize the government, I say its the way to go.

Libertarians want to bring the government back to the constitution the way it was written. (Just to add onto your statement)

Yup. Problem is he has no chance of winning, but I refuse to vote for either of our two more popular candidates. I will not be forced to choose between the lesser of two evils.

But that is generally what the Presidential election is, two evils, one is just worse then the other so you pick the better one

Like I said, I won't be forced to. Therefore I'm not voting for either of them. I don't settle for anything in my life, least of all my President.

She is voteing, but ass she said, she is voting for a smaller party, her favorite canidate, right now, is the smaller party that she is voting for, so don't tell her she isn't doing her civic duty

RE: Dear Mr. Obama

It would be pretty cool of somone like Bob Barr or some other small party would win. That would put both Obama and McCain to shame. I'm still for McCain though. And as a response to the video, thats the exact reason why I think we should continue to be in Iraq. We reformed a nation that was one of the worst in the world. We freed their people from Sadam, and that is a major accomplishment. Imagine the victory the insurgency would haveif we retreated. We can't let the terrorists win afterwhat they did in 9/11. We must be strong to the end.
