Ok, my dad brought his laptop with him, and I'm sitting in the hotel with nothing else to do, so I'll tell it.

In 2004, I was biking down a road. It was noon, with no one home at all. About 130 yards ahead of me, I saw a very tall creature covered with grey hair. It walked across the road in 4 steps, and it vanished into the woods. Never saw it again.

RE: bigfoot

Back in '04 i went up to my best friends new house... he just moved to the pocono mountains and i was staying with him for two weeks. Well he lived in this development called Thornhurst and there would be like 3 houses on a road, and every road was like half a mile long. Anyway, there were all kinds of animals walkin around the place, like deer, chipmunks, turkey, and the occasional black bear. Anyway, we would always walk around at the place at night. We heard a bobcat scream one night way off in the distance, and my buddy got freaked out and said it was the "suskin screamer." i had no idea what he was talking about. he said it was the sasquatch that has been sighted near suskin road, a few miles away. The next day i talked to this guy at a local mom and pops store, and i saw a picture ofwhat looked to be like bigfoot. He told me it was the suskin screamer. In the picture, it was a big upright walking ape that had enourmous eyes. In the background was the guys deerstand and the guy was sitting in it. He said he'd never been so scared in his life. I don't know if this is true or not... that picture could have easily been photoshopped.

If you ask me though, i think bigfoot is real. No, i don't think that he is mythical creature that can disappear like the native americans do. I think that bigfoot is an endangered ape in North America. Its very possible that when Pangea split, bigfoot evolved on this particular continent. Did you know that Panda Bears were thought to be a myth like the loch ness monster and la chupacabra until like the 1920's i believe it was, when they obtained a dead one. Mountain Gorillas were also thought to be like bigfoot until some guy came across a family of them and killed one. Hell, they just found giant squids not to long ago. If you ask me its only a matter of time before bigfoot is found. As for the loch ness monster and la chupacabra, i highly doubt it.

Their was a video released a little while ago of a chubacabra in Texas. As for bigfoot, something is out their....and that is a fact.

Here are some questions I have about the "Bigfoot/Sasquatch" issue.

There seem to be groups of people who believe in their existence and go out looking for them. Surely they would have the foresight to take decent cameras along. Then why are all the pictures out of focus?

A creature that size would have to eat and eat a lot. Why don't we find evidence of their kills?

If they're vegetarians, there would have to be evidence of a food source used by fairly large creatures. Why can't we find some of them feeding?

Why don't we find the places where they nest or den?

Notice I said "some" earlier. The areas where they have been "seen" are not that isolated. Why no evidence of group activity?

Each "sighting" involves a creature of the same size, what, seven feet tall, hairy, big feet, etc. Now the females could be the same size as the males, but the youngsters would HAVE to be smaller.

Why has no one ever spotted a female with young?

Okay, you say they're very secretive. But there are hordes of guys out in the woods during hunting seasons. Why hasn't anyone ever shot one? Because everyone knows you could get in a lot of trouble for shooting a guy in a gorilla suit even if you claimed you thought he was a "Bigfoot?"

As for why the pictures are always out of focus, i don't know. Probably because its desperate people trying to get attention.

As for finding evidence of bigfoot, that would is extremely difficult. Since they are so rare, and North America is so big, a carcass would be quickly scavenged. That goes for what a bigfoot would eat as well.

As for where they den, we don't even know if bigfoot has a den. We don't know anything about it. Bigfoot could be a wanderer and sleep in a different tree every night.

And in fact there has been sightings of bigfoot with young.

That could be a reason for not shooting bigfoot. Like i said, no one ever shot a mountain gorilla until just recently, and that could be for the same reason.

That could be a reason for not shooting bigfoot. Like i said, no one ever shot a mountain gorilla until just recently, and that could be for the same reason.
The mountain gorilla was not "unknown" before it was identified as a seperate species around the turn of the century. (Remember, Columbus was not the first human to "discover" the Americas.) Since then, the mountain gorilla has been extensively studied and is measurably different from the lowland gorilla. I can't remember if there are two or three species of gorilla.

You can find beautifully detailed photographs of all kinds of hard to find wildlife taken by nature photographers. Why don't skilled nature photographers go looking to take photos of Bigfoot? Because, for the reasons I listed, it's obvious that there is no such creature.

Why doesn't someone like Schaller do a multi-year study of Bigfoot? Because zoologists know, for the reasons I listed, that the creature does not exist.

The plain and simple truth is that, if there were a group of apelike creatures living on this continent in numbers large enough to reproduce their kind, there would be more evidence of them than the occasional out of focus photograph, or a frozen Bigfoot costume.
