Need Help!!!

I am 16, 6'0 tall, 140 lbs and wanting a dirt bike or atv! I have never owned a dirt bike soo i am a beginner and have had 1 atv! I don't much care for a clutch and was wondering what dirt bikes dont have a clutch and would be fit most for me???

Well, you could start with a pitbike. They have no clutch and 3 gears. Pretty simple and cheap really, they go for anywhere around $1000 to $2000. the best ones are the Kawasaki and Suzuki 110's.

I agree with Siman. You could even find a pitbike for even cheaper if you looked. I would look for a 125 4 stroke. Unless your racing then i would go with a 2 stroke. But if you are going to use it for just trail riding, then i would go with a 4 stroke.

I would go with a 125 4 stroke bike. Im riding a YZ450F. Its on the heavy side but i like not ahving to mix gas and oil every time i wanna ride. Ohh yea im 5'10" and 160 lbs but ive been ridint since i was 4.

TTR 125's are nice beginning bikes too. i would stay away from 2 strokes, way too much maintenance their.

TTR's have a clutch, and they are bigger than the Hondas.

about what size honda would compare to a ttr 125???

Siman08/OH 07-16-2008 12:24 PM

RE: Need Help!!!

Well the seat is a little bit higher, maybe 6 inches or so if im thinking of the right bike. The TTr also has alot more power and a top speed around 55 MPH, where the Honda couldnt touch that. How tall were you again? Cuz im 6'0, 164 Lbsand i can fit on my 110 fine (its a little on the small side but thats how its supposed to be) and i can fit on a TTr perfectly.

RE: Need Help!!!

im 6' tall and weigh 140, it sounds like the ttr is a good bike for me!

As long as you can drive a clutch you'll be fine, there really durable too.

explain to me how to really use a clutch, like when to and stuff!

RE: Need Help!!!

Well lol, its kinda something you have to learn to do hands on. You have to pull in the clutch to shift it into first, then you slowly and evenly release the clutch while gradually giving it gas until it engages the gears and then your off. After that you have to pull in the clutch and let off the gas to shift. Do it to quickly and youll be on your rear end :D

RE: Need Help!!!

are there any more bikes that dont have a clutch that are about the same size as the ttr???

Siman08/OH 07-16-2008 01:02 PM

RE: Need Help!!!

None that i can think of. The 110 pit bikes are really the only bikes that dont have a clutch.
