First Musky!!!

About time. Yesterday, I was fishing on Arrowhead Lake in Vilas County, Wisconsin. I was fishing with a blue and silver tinsel Jerries Girl. This guy came up, and I went into the figure 8, and it hit right there at boatside. This fish had some gill damage, because he was caught before. This pic makes me look like I'm Chinese or something

Length- 37 inches
Weight- About 15 Ibs.

Hehe, California will never have the honor of having a musky in their state :D I've spent 6 years fishing for them, and I finally caught my 1st. I've invested too much time into it...

RE: First Musky!!!

Way to go on the nice Musky. I actually have 2 really good Musky lakes within 1 hour of my place, and last summer was the first time I hooked up with one. I was jigging for walleyes on a rockpile and my line started peeling out like crazy, it was about the same size as the one you caught, we got him up against the side of the boat and i cut my line, he had swallowed the jig pretty good, and I didn't wanna risk killing him (the lake I was fishing has a minimum musky length of 50" I believe.) Then on the other lake we hooked up with probably a dozen later on last summer while pitching plugs in the trees for walleyes. They are definately a fun fish to catch!
