Well, today I got out musky fishing for the 2nd time this season, with a guide. After many hours of seeing nothing on multiple lakes, we went to one last lake, a proven musky producer. I was casting a Suick jerkbait toward a point. All the sudden, a very big female, (She has to be 45+ inches)came out, with her gills flared, ready to strike. I was so scared that I couldn't even do a figure-8 (Figure-8's iswhen youmake a figure-8 next the boat when you finish a cast or a musky comes)I proceded to pull it out of the water[:@] The guide showed me how to do a figure-8 with a jerkbait (Very hard to do with this kind of lure) and the fish came back again! I did the same thing!!!

How stupid of me... I lost the biggest fish that followed my lure ever, then I was scared.

When I started fishing when ever the fish on my line would get in front of me I couldn't pull it out of the water.[&o] I would just stare at them with my mouth like this----->, and shaking like crazy then the fish would evntually break the line and I'd be all disappointed.[]

Thanks AH, thats real supportive There is nothing more scarier than seeing a 45 inch musky with its gills flared comming at your lure.
