I work as an EMT ITrauma Specialist for several agencies and moonlight as a Firefighter. Used to be the other way around, but one pays better than the other. [&:]
I know your big into firefighting, Im joining my town's volunteer fire department next month. Alot of my family has been in it and i know everybody in my town so i feel like its the right thing to do.
Good for you. Just remember that its the most thankless job you'll ever take you you'll be fine :D If you ever need any tips or pointers you know who to PM. I know what its like to be overshadowed by family and you don't always want to ask them for advice lol.

And amature... be sure to tell that to the next EMT you meet... I bet they'll give you the biggest baddest needle you've ever seen :D That's what I would do :)
Your the only EMT i trust so bring on that needle :D

i co-own Western Maine Concrete and Excavation Inc. and Perry Builders Inc. its not much fun some days....some days it is,but its hard honest workbut the dividends are insane. wouldnt trade it for the world.

oh by the way i am a volunteer fire fighter too, i didnt really count is as a job but i been in it for over a year now......

well im 14 so im in school and i a cut cut a guys grass for $30 a week and sometimes take care of my neighbors house when he goes away
