I was a victim of police brutality yesterday.
 

Okay it's not exactly police brutalityjust mewhining about my size again. Sorry.

Last night we went out. On the way we stopped at the bank and I went in to use the ATM to get some cash. I got back in the truck and we headed down the street. After about two blocks we get stopped by a police car. We weren't speeding or anything.

So the police officer walks up to my husband's side and he puts down the window. The cop looks over at me and says "How tall are you little girl?" He actually said "little girl."

Michigan has just passed a law that says kids under four foot nine have to be in a booster seat. The law only applies to kids. I'm beyond the age limit. Well I'm four foot seven, and as I've mentioned before, I look like a little kid. I still had the money in my hand waiting so I could give it to my husband and also my wallet. So I took out my driver's license and handed it to him. He stared at it and me for a while and then I told him "that's my daughter in the back seat safely in her car seat," as acidly as I could. He looked a little sheepish, handed back my license and asked me if I get that a lot. I didn't answer because my brain was conjuring up extremely painful ways to murder my husband who was just about to choke to death laughing.

Then to make it worse, the cop started laughing after he apologized. At least he was polite. I've had this kind of thing happen before and a couple of times people were rude.

Anyway, it seems funny now.

I don't think there's such a thing as a legal midget. If you saw a picture of me, I look like anyone else, but in real life, I'm just really small. There's no apparent medical cause for it, just one of those variations, like that 7 foot tall Chinese basketball player. My mother and I are the same size.

No, my husband didn't get a ticket. That law doesn't apply to someone my age. The police officer must have seen me get into the car when I left the bank and thought I was a kid. :)

It wouldn't be Police brutality, it'd be Police Profiling:D You would have to find a way to murder me as well because i was laughing hyseterically reading that[8D] How far north in Michigan are you? I'd be kinda cool to meet up at Cabelas or Bass Pro sometime and meet you, your husband and adorable baby girl.

yeaH BECAUSE midgets are built differently than tall people cansee they have larger features thantaller peoplemy sister who is like 19 has a friend who is like 5' 10' who doesnt look like a midget at all

first i have to adress AH, man, maybe you are unaware but they opened a cabela's within an hour of my house! so that goes on the list of reasons to come to chicago.

DLG, its really not funny, i understand taht, but the way that you wrote that, and teh side remarks (thinking of ways to kill your husband) made it absolutly hystarical!

we ahve a cabelas opening in two weeks in scarbrough maine its a little less then an hour from here but so is everything. have to drive an hour to get groceries wally world and nice resteraunt so im pretty pumped up! in fact my dads b day was may 1st and i got him a couple hundred dollar gift certificate to go blow there (hopefully on me) haha
as far as being a midget i feel like onecompared toall my brothers that are 6 foot or better and im only 5'8. all my uncles are tall and my granfather too. Even my mom is taller then me for christ sakes! im built scrappier then my brothersbut they have the height and im jealous! lol

Being undersized is a little weird sometimes, but I would not be in the incredibly happy situation I am if I were normal size for my age.
