you are 100 % right! arhcery its extemely critical. i wouldnt think it would be as bad w/a cross bow out to about 50 yds if your pushin 330 fps. my compitition bow shoots 0-40 yds w/ 1 pin and thats not quite as fast as your cross bow. i was lookin at the maine laws for cross bow hunting, we cant have anything over a 200lbs :(

Archery is my favorite, gun hunting comes second. And yardage is very crucial.

excaliburcrossbow.com go to there if your looking at x-bows, excalibur is the best in my opinion.
and yea, 30 yards is the max i will shoot when im hunting, maybe 40 but probably not. when im just shooting the bow though then i shoot it from 60-70 yards and it is still really accurate, the arrow definately doesn't have the same punture power though -CC |

If I had to pick one weapon to hunt with, gun, bow, or muzzleloader. I would pick abow in a heart beat.;)I just love sittingby a tree with my bow, waiting for something to come by me. Deer, coyote, squirrel, bobcat...... anything.:D
P.S. Judging distance plays a BIG role in archery!;) |
