i wanted to make this a poll, but i guess we dont have that option in this forum.

how many of you use this site as a place to come when you know you should really be working on homework?

how many of you go on facebook or myspace when you know you should be doing homework?

how many of you actually just do your homework when you know you need to?

i only ask cause i am guilty of all the above except the last one! like now for instance. i have a 14 page paper due at 1 pm. today, was assigned 3 weeks ago, just started last night! earthquake, distracted me, i wont lie, but i use this site and facebook religiously when i have homework i should be doing!

come clean, who else is asguilty as me?????

i really wouldnt say i go on this site to get away from doin homework, i jus usually choose not to do it and end up goin on this site lol. i dont have facebook/myspace so i dont go on that.

I love doing schoolwork. I've been getting extra homework since I started sixth grade. I get to do all kinds of really interesting extra projects.

I don't have facebook or myspace. I don't even know what they are for sure.

To keep my GPA up, I have to be responsible. School work comes first. If I blow these last two months of high school, I could blow my chance of attending the college of my choice.

well i have a 18 page english paper due tomorrow at 1! if you would like some extra work i will give you the prompt and you can write it for me!;):D

and Chris H, you my friend are what i like to call "SMART"even though colleges already probably already accepted you (if you are a senior) and rarely will deny you do to your second semester grades once you are in.......just remember one thing, Core Curiculum! i goofed off realy bad and now have to take 28 hours of core curiculum classes before i can even register for classes due to my major![:@][:@]

I hate school, im only doing a victory lap at my school because i came back to play rugby. i almost never do homework, just enough to get by. im always on here in my second period spare instead of doing homework.

im suposed to be figuring jobs and doing billing for our business but i have the attention span of a caveman and play on here........like right now for example, we poured a floor at 5:30 this morning and was done by 9:00 and im suposed to be typing a bill for the customer and im not. im also suposed to be filling out to bid estimates on here, which im not and im also suposed to fill in the quick books which im half done w/, andim also suposed to clean the power trowels and chutes and wash the 1 ton which ill do later ........working for my father is like this

it might be like that working for your father BUT you can come on this site all you want and not do EVERYTHING in a timely fasion but at the end of the day you will still have your job!

hahaha yea right. we have been in some fist fights before now andhe's fired me more times then i can count BUT technically when i graduated i got 20% of the company so really he cant do nothin i still get my salary which sux. any job w/ a salary blows. especially concrete cuz you break you back and only get X amount each week. the dumb grunts that work for us actually take home more then me and i do all the important work.(set grades, square stuff up, finish floors, run excavater blah blah blah)they just lug pannels and crap.our tax mantells me im on salary now cuz it will benifit me more later i dunno. its B/s if you ask me.

have you tried doing all the work the "grunts" do??? i worked construction for two and a half years moving up! i started as a grunt for a long time! got alot of crap, got no respect, busted my @$$ 100 times more than anyone else, AND always went home sore, hurting, and in pain. i worked 4 hours with 5 inches of a barn nail stuck in my knee to finish the job before going to the hospital. i had a nail go COMPLETELY through my boot through my foot and out the top of my boot, i worked 3 hours with that in my foot till someone noticed the trail of blood coming from me and made me goto the hospital. grunts do more than you think and rarely get paid properly, maybe join them or there jobs for a week straight, dont leave there side till they go home, and be there when they get there! after a week i think you will get a feeling at what they do, and maybe even have respect for the hell they go through!

sorry, this is a touch subject with me! been in there shoes, and will always stand up for them! they deserve some serious respect!

dont lecture me son. since i was old enough to carry a hammer i was pouring concrete. yes ive done the work they do and still do it more then they do half the time cuz they dont show up. annnnnnd when they start whining saying how heavy the pannels are i lug them cuz we dont need workers comp B/S. in fact i carry two at a time cuz time is money and i dont have time for B/s. thats why i am where i am cuz i did it fo a long time and im sure a lot longer to come

then it sounds like your grunts are a bunch of unreliable ppl. i mean if they dont always even show up.....well then how can you expect them to bust there @$$! every grunt i worked with busted there @$$ to the max, working with braces, casts, and slings, cause we needed the extra guy and showed up to help out. and usually the injured ones still did more than most of the higher ranked guys did! i moved up the ladder after 6 months of grunt work. but i will always respect a grunt that works to the max, and will always give him a hand when my job was slow. aparently your situation is very different than the one i was in!

lol yea they dont show up cuz concrete kicks your ass! do you really think my ol man would hand me the reins if i didnt know what i was doing. these are houses, school, banks you name it we pour foundations for them ( the most important part) it aint my first day at the rodeo andy.

I have seen some ppl. get the reins for businesses when they havent done ANYTHING, and know even less! i worked construction, i know how important the foundation is! helped, and did it a couple times myself! not fun work, but necisary. wasnt trying to make any points just trying to say not all grunts are so worthless!

haha i was put in ISS for being on here during school.....they said i was like looking at weapons that could potentially harm someone and some other crap that i didnt hear b/c i wasnt paying attention......................o and i finish all my work at school that way i dont have homework

god kid yer really pissin me off but im gonna just be let it go. i dont know where all this **** is coming from. you did it for 2 1/2 year, wow big deal. ive done concrete my WHOLE life. we only have 4 employees. i never said they were worthless i said the damn grunts take home more then i do at the end of the week cuz im on salary then you took off on a tough guy power trip. i think that nail that was in your foot is now up your ass cuz you have a major chip on your shoulder pal. now im too hung over to go any further im goin back to bed. lets let it go

I think both of you are full of B.S. I use to do grunt work, really well i worked a day with a car lodged in my chest, yeah well i worked with no heart. B.S. and i'm calling yall on it. You both have this toughman mentality where you try to prove who's the bigger man by telling stories over the internet.:eek: You trying to impress people on here?

It really is ok if one person is better or tougher than another, you won't die. Enough of the stories please, they are getting old ;)

God knows yall ain't near as tough as i am, i worked with 2 broken legs, and two arms ripped off. I'm the toughest Torso in the world. Yall thought i was serious didn't you ^ :D[8D]

wtf are you even talkin about? it never even went that way. not once did either andy or myself say one was tougher then the other. i dont even care and im pretty pos. he doesnt either. we discussed how grunts get disrespect. really i shouldnt have used the word grunts i guess. andy was just under the impression i think that i walked into my fathers company like a greenhorn and i simply explainedto him that i have put my time in and still do for that matter and that i never ask them to do something i wouldnt do myself. now ive tried to be as polite as possible w/ this response to your tangent buti think you needa crash course in comprehension cuz i dont think you understood what we were tlaking about. re-read sir. as far as i can tell we were done. and point out to me exatly what your callin BS?! your the only one i wanna impress AH. you seem to be the dictator around here and i really really want to impress you haha not.
