Everytime i hear that song i think of Top Gun!!!! I love that movie!! There were a couple inaccuracies like showing them go going over mach 1 with the wings extended instead of pulled all the way in and showing them taking turns in a dog fight with wings pulled in instead of extended but there are always a few of those kinds of things.

I love Aviation, especially when it comes to Military Planes and Helo's. When trying to go as fast as you can you reduce drag as much as possible, thus sweeping the wings tight to the body. When taking a turn, especially in a dog fight the extension of the wings slow the plane allowing greater banks and tighter turns.:)

Only when using the Cannon. The size of the plane would really have no effect on Heat or Radar Guided Missiles. The F-14 is/was the largest fighter in the Inventory of the Navy. You are gonna have an easier chance of getting blown out of the sky when going 900MPH with the wings swept back because you can't make any kind of tight turn then taking a tight aggressive turn witht he wings extended.

have you ever flown a plane? i duid one time it was cool i flew over my house and my neighbor has an airstrip on his land...........it is cool to watch them
