How do them Hortons work? I got a friend of mine willing to sell me his, only been shot once for $250. I wanna get a crossbow because i know i wouldn't be able to shoot a regular bow plus i want a longer deer season.

I love the one I got. It is really nice I have scope on mine. Mine has a 175lbs pull. My dad ended up having to buy a pulley cocker for it before bow season last year.Cause I could not pull it back.If you go under my user name then click the homepage you can kinda see my bow in the picture.

Thats a nice bow, even better buck;) Is it real hard to put a scope on one of those? Right now all he has is the peep sight on it. I'm really gonna have to hunker down and start researching info on bows because i have no idea how they work.

A crossbow u pull the string to cock it. Then sit the arrow in. Next aim and pull the trigger. Simple!!

RE: Anyone hunt with a crossbow?

My bow is a 30 pound pull, which makes it pretty impossible to use for turkeys. Michigan will let you use a crossbow if you're handicapped and get a doctor to okay it. I'm going to see if being so small can be a handicap that will let me use a crossbow for turkeys. I don't want to use it for deer, just for turkeys. (I can take the recoil of a 12 ga. for one shot, but I can't take it to practice with repeated shots.)
