Thats why i want ot be a Marine. A torn rotator cuff slowed down the process a little. Ill be back to be a Marine though.

I would never be a Seaman. Ive herd alot of stories about them and one of them were good. The Marines done have Medics they use Navy Corpsman. The Corpsman would tell us all this about the Navy and why they decided to become a Corpsman.

"Most Marines are bumbling idiots that only know how to kill for a living", that quote coming from several retired marines in my family and an active Gunnery Sergeant soon to be Warrant Officer in Iraq.I like the Navy's schooling. Wanna do EOD, Master at Arms, or Anti-Submarine Warfare Technician stationed on an Aircrew. I'm still kinda thinkin about the Air Force as an MP or Aerial Gunner.

Yea most Marines are idiots. Im one of them. But go for the Air Force. Id rather hear you go be one of those slackers then hear horror storys from you about spending 1 year in a ship with a bunch of guys and what happend.

I love how Marines talk crap about the other branches of the Military yet are to dumb to realize without the other branches such as the Navy and Air Force you'd be fighting with rocks. :eek: How do you think all of your equipment gets to where it has to be? Where do you think most 95% of Marine close air support comes from? Without one another, the military wheel is not complete and thus can't perform at its highest ability.

Well actually the Marines is Dept. of the Navy so technically they are part of the Navy. When they were first made they were saposed to do all of the Navys small arms fighting kinda like the Navy Seals do now but the Marines grew and became there own branch of the military but is still Dept of the Navy. BUt i have talked to other people in other branches of the military and there are alot of guy on guy problems in the Navy because of being stuck on ships for long ammounts of time, the Air Force dosnt really have any major physical requirements. They ride stationary bikes with helmets! Who wears a helmet on a bike that dosnt move? Then they either play basketball,voleyball, or baseball as there PT. The Army dosnt have any major problems but they ahve atendency to run when engaged in combat so i dont care for them.

I never said the Marines didnt have problems i was just stating the ones i knew about other branches. I personally know 7 people that have had some kind of a gay rape problem on a Navy ship so i am avoiding the Navy.

I know alot of Marines in Iraq that have had to go on rescue missions for the Army because their squd ran when engaged and left people behind.

Did you know marines are not allowed to wear there cammies outside of a Military base or combat zone? they get in alot of crap if they get caught. The only exception is if you live off the base and are going directly home or directly to work at the base.

Thats gay, i love them Woodland Digital ACU's, so much better than the old woodland. My old woodland camo pants and shirt should be here shortly, i had to order some for Civil Air Patrol. Then gotta get my Name and Civil Air Patrol name tag sewn on.

DO yours have to eb the old style? You can get the new Digital MARPAT woodlands or deserts. I thought about getting the trousers for running around during the summer so im not destroying my good jeans.

Yeah its the Official Uniform of the Civil Air Patrol. Thank god i don't have to spend money on the dress uniform. Civil Air Ptarol wears the same dress uni as the Air Force.

Civil Air Patrol is actually pretty cool. Not only do they have PT which helps me get in shape for the military but its fun to work with the cadets. Its nice to have a place where i can talk about my love of Military equipment and aviation. And we get access into the Columbus and Cleveland Airshows, we get to work security duty. And we get to play in simulators and such.:D

i got to fly in a simulator at an airforce in Dover! that thing is intense! (my uncle was in the airforce and great friends with the man who runs it). if i ever join a branch of the military it would be the air force and the A-10 worthog would be the one i would want! (its what i flew in the sim.) it was intense to say the least!

Well it might be hard to become a pilot with the A-10 unless you join the reserves. The A-10 is being phased out of the active duty role now that the F-35 Lightning II has finally been delivered to the airforce. But the A-10 is a beast and would love to fly that ugly masterpiece of a ground support aircraft. I'm seriously looking more into the Aerial Gunner Position in the Air Force so i can work on an AC-130 Gunship or hang out of the helicopter with the M60,M243, or Mini Gun and lay down suppressive fire.

my uncle flew the AC-130 for a while, along with the C-5 and acouple others. he served 28 years flying for the airforce. he was the first plane to land during desert storm, (before they had even bulit runways, cause his plane had the materials needed to build the runways)
