Yesterday, I was driving my snowmobile for the first time on the trails. My dad and his friend were with us.I was goingover a hill. There was a tree at the bottom.I tried to turn away, butit was too late. I hit the tree right in between the hood and the ski, and flew a good 10 feet away from my snowmobile. Luckily, I only got a couple bruises. The sad thing is, my dad didn't even ask if I was all right. He was too concerned with the snowmobile.

The snowmobile was "Ok."The hood justhas a small crack in it, andone of the steering things bent pretty far in. I was able to drive it home.

It was the scariest moment of my life. If I hit it the wrong way, I could have died.... I am one lucky SOB.

Glad you weren't hurt. (Except for some bruises.)

Be careful. Too many people are killedor injured while "having fun" on a sled. You will probably want to drive more slowly next time.

ummm. i wouldnt be to P-oed right now if i were you! i would be thanking my lucky stars i didnt die! you know your dad probably saw you getting up and since you werent screaming in pain im guessing he put two and two together! and figured you were "OK" and if you werent that you would say something! this thread should read "Man I'm one lucky SOB"

I cannot give sympathy. I see this all too often. Take it easy going down hills. Don't be mad at your Dad, he's just doing what grown men do.

yah i had a narrow escape with a tree and the tractor the front tire neerly came off and today it almost flipped it over going down a hill

Well, my dad sawed the tree down when he was grooming :D
