One of my girlfriends used a .410 to shoot her deer and it took her lots of shots. So, i would use a different gun!

A 410 is just fine! I shot 2 deer when I was a kid with one. One about 30 yds and the other about 50. It is like anything else, practice and learn your/its limitations. I know poeple that can accurately shoot400 yds+ accurately, I cant. I can shoot 75 yds accurately with my bow, but I wouldnt at a deer.

I watched my cousin drop an 8pt at 60 yards with one. A 410 is plenty of gun and if accurate enough its just as deadly as a 12ga.

i dont even think a .410 is legal to shoot deer with. Maybe if it has a slug but im still not sure if even that would be legal.

Nope, just check colorado and it is not legal to hunt big game with a 410 shotgun. Must be a minimum 20 gauge and fire a single slug. You guys better check your state laws before you take a 410 out to hunt. Its not worth the fine they will handout to you.
