I got a new gun!

My dad got it for me. It's a rifle that I will use for bear hunting. I would use it for deer except that I can only hunt with a shotgun in my area. Heres a link to the gun. http://savagearms.com/10GY.htm The only difference is that the one I got came with a scope and no open sights. I went out and shot it today, it shoots real nice. Anyone have anything to say about it? Good, bad, any experience? Thanks.

Savages have a reputation for great accuracy right out of the box. What calibre? I'm guessing .308 if you meant bears? Blackies?

i have a savage model 111 and i like it alot. shoots real good, i jus dont like the trigger on it to hard to pull. but i think you'll like the gun alot!

i had a model 111 in 270 and it was REAL accurate. i wish i never sold it but i needed the money.:(

I have a Savage Model 3 i got from my Grandfather. Im not sure how old it is but it shoots great.
