Depends on the kind of gun you are talking about. For a pistol, I would say Ruger. Rifle, I am intrigued by Kimber. For shotguns I don't think you can beat a Beretta, but the Remington 870 is a truly amazing gun.

i like tikka and sakko as my favorite rifles - i like the flatter shooting calibers, 7mm, etc.
of the shotguns i can afford, and since i only have 2, franchi is my favorite so far, but would love a berretta.
