There are alot of CVA rifles that are at a low cost probably around 250 or so that are excellent starting out guns and basically just all around good guns even for an avid muzzleloader. I myself have a CVA Kodiak with a camo stock i got at Dicks Sporting goods and let me tell ya that thing is accurate. Even though i dont shoot with scopes about all my friends say that i "need: one but unless you have eye problems i dont really see the use for them. Saves ya money too.

go to cabelas online and order the CVA Buckhorn magnum. $110. Or you can get the CVA Wolf which would make an awesome first ever muzzleloader and simple to clean. They start at $139. Im sure your parents would be very pleased to help you buy that one.

I shoot traditional muzzleloaders. I have a TC Renegade Caplock 54cal and a Lyman Great Plains flintlock 54cal. I shoot the patched roundball with real black powder.
