.30-30 will work good for the brush. I' d go with a .30-06 though. It' s a proven caliber and is a great all around rifle.

You could use a 30-06 that' s what I shot my first deer with in December 2002.

a 30-30 is a great first gun. i shoot a 30-06 but i have shot a 3030 before also. its a more of brush gun. i would say go with the 3030 you can upgrade if you want later

a .30-30 will work fine for you unless your shooting really far yardage then id go with the 30-06
