Ok you have $2000 for a new gun. Can be shotgun or rifle or anything. What would it be?

RE: Best case Cenario(sp)

It would be the kind with two limbs, cams, a string and cables.

Oh wait, that's a bow.

I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a rifle or shotgun of any sort.

Considering the question is Ok you have $2000 for a new gun. Can be shotgun or rifle or anything. What would it be?,I would buy a shotgun for dove and duck hunting. I am not fimiliar with guns, so I would have to study them before I buy one. I would probably get a Benelli or something along the lines of that.

it might just be me personally but i can't see myself paying $2000 for ONE GUN!!!!!

i would probably get a...
Kimber Tactical .45 $1200
this sweet traditions 20g semi i was looking at today$300
and the rest would go toward tax and ammo for the above guns and the rest of that would go to the gun safe my mom wants me to get.

$2000 eh? - Easy - Sako Model 75 Finnlight - stainless fluted barrel - in either .25-06 or 300 WSM - not sure its an option yet but the .325 WSM would be a choice as well.

$1400 - so i got ~$500 left (after tax) to save for a scope

I dont know about alot of guns. For $2000 I would have to do alot of research before spending that kinda money. I would probably get something in the Benneli (sp?) field for upland game. That always seemed kinda fun to me.

It's not a matter of close mindedness. I've got a rifle I use for certain small game and a shotgun that I use for upland and waterfowl. Both are relatively new. I spent maybe $500 on each of them and I don't need a new firearm anytime soon. Considering the fact that I mainly hunt with a bow, it would be a much easier decision for me to spend that kind of money on one or two new bows.

I answered the question perfectly fine. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on a rifle or shotgun of any sort.

The Young Hunters forum is going to hell again. If you have to answer questions in a simply black and white manner then you will never get any interesting or insightful posts. I'm thinking it's time to leave again.

The question was, "What would it be?", meaning what gun would youbuy for $2000. Labs4Mallard did not ask if you would spend $2000 on a gun.

Hmmm, I wonder why.

Again, I answered the question perfectly fine. I would not spend that kind of money on a rifle or shotgun of any sort. I just wouldn't do it. On any gun. That answers his question. I'll even break it down. I - wouldn't - do - it.

Seriously, if you're going to nitpick every answer I give from now on because it isn't straightforward or black and white, let me know. It's getting old. Find another hobby, because this one is annoying.

ANYWAYS.........BACK TO THE TOPIC......

I wouldn't spend $2000 on a single gun. I would probably get a Ruger 10/22 and modify it out the butt. Then I would probably get a Remington or Mossberg 12 gauge with multiple barrels. If I have enough left, I would probably get a .223 or something to yote hunt. If not, then with the rest I would stock up on shells or buy a pigeon thrower and pigeons.

And saying, "Do a search, this has already been discussed" isn't?

A Remington 870 12 gauge. With a slug barrel. Wait 2000 bucks you could buy like 6 more.

RE: Best case Cenario(sp)

dont want a gun.... dont need a bow... i think i'd pocket the cash and use it for something else. but if i had to choose a gun, it would probably be some form of a .270 with a leupole scope.

RE: Best case Cenario(sp)

I would probably get a .308 in the 1000 dollar range and put a 1000 dollar scope on it. I wouldn't be too pick about the brand of gun but the scope would probably be a leupold.

RE: Best case Cenario(sp)
