Why do you use the weapon you use for hunting?

I use a bow to hunt with. I choose to hunt with a bow because it is more of a challenge.

I choose to hunt bow too reather then gun. Mostly because its more of a challenge, you need the animals in alot closer and timeing to be right. So IMO personally a bow is the best choice because theres more skill involved instead of jus letting lead fly at 250 yards. (I know people who do that.)

i use both depending on what im going after for deer i prefer a bow and muzzloader in the later season
for turkey i use a gun because its hard enough shooting one wwith a gun let alone abow for ducks i use a recurve because im such a good shot like byron ferguson.

I use a 243 modle 77 remington I use it because it is light wight and it is very dependaleble for what ever reson you need it.

i use an 870 express for gun season b/c it is reliable and i know it wont let me down. for bow i use a browning b/c it fit the bill.

i use both gun and bow. i think bowhunting is much more challengin and i like it caus its a longer season. i like gun hunting for the comradery.

grew up with the training that gun hunting is cheating..... started off shooting traditional then went to recurves

I grew up hunting with guns and although its a challenge itself, i wanted to challenge myself more so i got into bow hunting and i haven't touched a gun since, aside from dove hunting :)

I choose the weapon that is legal for the season that I'm hunting in , and one that I have confidence with . I won't go afield with an unfamiliar weapon .

Bow. I just enjoy the challenge. Muzzleloader is a close second.

I prefer tohunt with air arms. I only hunt small game really (I don't see the need to kill a deer when there are this many rabbits running around), and I hunt in rather populated areas, so I use high powered airguns to get the job done. I get mass rabbits and squirrels with my modded airguns, soI don't really see the need for gun powder. Clean, safe, quiet, cheap, lightweight, and easy to use. Plus you have the bow hunting factor, because you have to get into airgun range (about the same as bow range) to take your shot. Peace out.

I don't think i could ever shoot a muzzlerloader. I just have a fear of it blowing up in my face. Granted i'm already ugly enough so why make it worse? :D

bow, i think it is the most challenging way i can do it. plus it gives me the biggest adrenalyn rush. i love it.

I use both because I like the excitement of hunting with a bow and letting them get close and it is challenging but sometimes you know that big buck won't come closer than 150 yards so thats why they have rifle season.
Bow hunting for excitement, Rifle hunting for big bucks.

i use my pocket knife. jk. Actually i use a gun. Every one says bows are more sporting. Ture, but the animal can travel far distances befor dying. I prefer a shot gun. Which is all we can use in the land of the corn (ohio)besides muzzeloader and bow. Im not a trophy hunter but it is good to get one. Besides most deer around here are taken in bow range. The places i hunt are hunted alot and the deer are very weary. Does any body else notice the deer move during hunting season?

i feel the same as ZAK because not everyone can grab a bow and be a dead on shot like you can be with a rifle

I use a bow more of a challenge and a lot longer season (i also use a knife once i get a rabbit pinned down

I use a .270 for whitetail and my 870 12 gauge for turkey and ducks. I have never had a chance to shoot a bow before but hope to in the future.

hey, im also a girl that grew up hunting with a rifle i started with a 243 remington shot 3 deer with it (2 bucks and a doe) then i got a bear with my friends 30.06 (winchester i believe) then for my 14th birthday (2 yrs ago) my dad bought me a 25.06 browning, its so far my favorite wthing to hunt with, what caliber and brand do you like the most?

I use a .300 win mag for deer, moose, bear and such... and a 12 guage shotgun for grouse and samll game.
