there is no online course,
there are online tutorials,
and online assistance,
but no online course that will certify a hunter, with good reason,
the test is easy and only part of it,
character is another element that cannot get tested online,
your local conservation agency, may have courses not listed online,
try contacting them and see what they have.
who regulates hunting in your state?
thats one thing you should know, where you can start to contact for info

As much as the idea of an online course is neat, i don't think its very safe IMO.

(Doctor) "Hi. I'm Doctor Benton. I'm going to be performing your open heart surgery today."

(Patient) "Ok, I have full faith in you"

(Doctor) "I'm glad to hear that, now this paper says atrium. Which side is your atrium on?"

(Patient) "What medical school did you say you went to again?"

(Doctor) "Joe Schmoe's Online Education Course."

(Patient) "I'd like a second opinion please"

there you have it ladies and gents... just like i wouldn't want an online education doctor, i wouldn't want the person next to me with a gun who's only practice has been online shooting.

Here in GA, you can send a request to the DNR for a disk with all the stuff they teach you in the course on it, and there are questions at the end of each section and a big quiz at the end that you have to print out and bring in the night of the actual test. This is what I did so that I wouldnt have to be in the class, and I found it quite easy. I also made a 100 on the test, so either im a genious or it taught me pretty well (you can choose between the 2) Even in the classes here, they dont shoot guns or anything, they just tell you what to do and what not to do, so there really isnt a difference.

So to answer your question, call or stop by your local DNR office and ask them if they have a cd hunters education course.

Our course didnt involve shooting either. We didnt even get to hold a gun. They just told us a bunch of stuff. I honestly couldn't tell you anything they said. I was 8 when I took it.

(Doctor) "I'm glad to hear that, now this paper says atrium. Which side is your atrium on?"

You have a right and left atrium on either side of the heart. The right atrium receives deoxygenated blood from the superior and inferior vena cava. The left atrium receives oxygenated blood from the lungs. Arteries are flexible. The smallest veins are venules. You have four valves in your heart, which I will list in order: Tricuspid, Pulmonary or Pulmonic, Bicuspid or Mitral, and the Aortic. Now lay down, slowly count down from 100, and I will begin.:D
