got the progress reports today and i had a D in languagearts dad said if i dont get all my grades up by reportcards i cant deer hunt this year

Same here. The only problem with school is that it interferes with hunting and shooting, fishing... basicaly everything fun.

Okay, word of wisdom guys...hunting, fishing and stuff interferes with school. We usually start hunting religiously once we get older. School comes first, and then hunting and the others. Trust me here...it'll pay off much better in the long run. Try to get your grades up Cord. Homework is the easy part...I always do my homework, though it does take up some time when I could be doing something else. I usually don't study for tests much though, so we must be the exact opposite. Good luck with your grades, if you ever need help with anything just let me know.

I never said school wasn't important, I said it interferes with hunting. I home school now, so I can hunt & fish when ever I want!

I agree with froman 100% one thing if you dont get an education and you end up with a crappy job. and cant pay for your tags how can you go hunting then.

get the grades up now so later on in life you can have a job that will allow you to hunt whenever you want, heck might even hae your own hunting show just keep up the grades and you can do what you want

Try to get those grades up and maybe you can go hunting this fall. Like me our bow season opens Tuesday and I don't get my progress report until Friday so I might be grounded for the first weekend of bow season. Keep tryin.

Look at it this way, if your grades arent good it will be tough to get into college and without college it would be tough to get a good paying job not sayin its impossible but it helps to have good grades, im a freshman in HS play 3 sports a year and hunt all the time and i still manage to get good grades just take the time and do your homework, school comes first now just pull your head out or there wont be a hunting for ya CORD
