plow and disk

How long do you leave a field plowed before you disk?

RE: plow and disk

depends how deep you plow, how moist the soil is, and the temperature.

disk it when it's dry enough to break up the clods and clumps. 2-5 days, but i'm not that experienced with the process.

RE: plow and disk

If it's in good enough shape to plow it's in good enough shape to disk.

It would probably take me 15 or 20 minutes to switch from plows to disk on the tractor.

Yeo, I like to do it when the soil is alittle damp, not wet but damp.I don't
like the dust when it is dry.
