Mixed Food Plot
I want to plant a 2-3 acre food plot on my farm this year for the deer. I plan on using soybean, clover, alfalfa, and some Mossy Oak biologic. I want to mix them all together so there would be a variety of food for the deer. Would this work well or would some of the species of plants not survive this way?

ORIGINAL: jhalfhill I want to plant a 2-3 acre food plot on my farm this year for the deer. I plan on using soybean, clover, alfalfa, and some Mossy Oak biologic. As to what to plant; everything you mention is fine but I would plant them separately so that you can see what kind of useage you get more easily. |
RE: Mixed Food Plot
Plant them seperately, the clover will choke out the soybeans, the biologic might shade out some beans or clover. If you want to try mixing a teacup of each thing together and plant somewhere by itself to see "what you didn't do"..... in a little 10x10 square....
