Acorns falling in your area?

Here in Minnesota they were falling two weeks ago, weekend of Aug 24th. Our bow season starts Sept 14. Isn't that early for them to be falling?

Acorns have also started falling here in NY. Not as abundant this year, but oaks bearing nuts are dropping now. Beechnuts have been dropping for couple weeks, and apples are also starting to drop. Our 1st season starts 9/27. Its not unusual for acorns to drop this early, especially under dry conditions. By 9/27 last yr I was only able to catch a couple of days bowhunting under my favorite oak stand before the nuts were gone.

Havn't seen any falling yet. There is a heavy Water Oak acorn crop this year. Going out next weekend and check a few White Oaks and see what they have.

Near Niagara Falls my Red Oaks are just starting to drop. The White Oaks are still ripening.

Rainfall has been alright all summer. Our area is going to have an excellent harvest because of the weather we had this summer.
