Not sure i want to plant: Full Draw Green Patch Clover Plus Maximum Anyone have any experience with any of these? thanks |
RE: BIOLOGIC Seed
In the spring , clover is always a good choice, in Delaware we try to get clover in around the end of March, the spring rains set the seed and gets it going.

RE: BIOLOGIC Seed
Can't go wrong with clover. But, please do a couple ph tests first. Lime to a 7.0 at least a 6.5 it will be money well spent and labor time saved. You only get one spring to make a great fall.

RE: BIOLOGIC Seed
DevinCampPA - Welcome to the board.
I've not used any biologic products, but might offer a little advice. Have you tried this site for planting dates? : http://www.mossyoakbiologic.com/plan...e/northern.asp Most clover plots can be spring seeded - It would be nice to know what else is in the mix though. For instance - FULL DRAW - is a fall planting - because it conatins alot of cold weather grains - like RYE. If you planted this in the spring - the RYE would head out and Die by August, and the clovers in the mix would suffer in their growth - the plot would be generally unattractive to deer all summer unless you kept it mowed - and if you mow it - the Rye was a wasted seed. The manufacturers do not always want you to know what's in the mix - but its really important to know at least what types of seeds are there - or to follow the Company's direction. Good luck in your plot this spring. There will be alot of planting talk soon - post back how you are making out. |
