best in dry
what is the best thing to plant in a dryer climate like michigan during the sumer. i live in allegan county. i was thinking about some clover but i don't know. any help is greatly appreciated.

Marinestud; you're rainfall levels are sufficient for clover. Thre are a lot of prairie farmers that would love to get your annual precipitation.

I agree with Dan - Clovers would work fine for your area - try to plant By mid-June at the latest or After Aug 15th for your area if fall planting. Clover should get 6 weeks growth before the first hard freezes.
Almost any northern plot will work for you - corn, oats, and soybeans too for example. FH |
