food plots

I am wondering if someone could tell me the location(s)of where to put a food plot(s) ( near water , in a thicket, open fields or where they funnel)and what is good to seed it with. I plan for it to be a food source to turkeys and deer. Any help ,ideas would be great!

check with your local farmers co-op or a feed and seed store they can tell you when, where, and how. as far as the location you'll have to determine that, i like the thicket idea but could you hunt it w/o running deer out? deer need shelter/cover, food, and water, sounds like you've got all that, food plots will enhance it for sure.

welcome to the forums, best of luck
